Revolution S01E02: Chained Heat

September 27, 2012 Jac Thurmond 0

Are you guys ready for another round of headscratching post-apocalyptic television?  This new series summary they’ve introduced at the beginning is pretty slick, we’re looking at over a minute of screentime telling us stuff we’ve already pieced together.

True Blood S05E07: In The Beginning

True Blood has gone so very far beyond the reaches of even its own half-hearted attempts at maintaining the rules of its own fictional universe, and is making some bloody odd decisions to boot. True Blood S05E06: Hopeless

July 17, 2012 Dave Coates 0

Good news you guys, True Blood is totally in on the joke, this week at least. Good things this week: Lafayette, Eric/Alcide, RUSSELL; bad: Tara, werewolves, fairies, Iraq, oh my.

What I do know is that he’s a supremely funny guy, and that he is proving that culture can be distributed en mass without middlemen for a reasonable price, and was unbelievably up front about what he was doing with the million bucks he raked in. More fanboying later. So the actual show is 22 minutes of weird little vignettes that explore reprehensible aspects of the Louie character that I can’t recall seeing so bluntly exposed in any other show.

True Blood S05E01: Turn! Turn! Turn!

After last year’s horror show ridicu-down with Aunt Petunia and the world’s stupidest ghosts, I was ready to hang up my True Boots on this misguided nonsense and go watch something a little more edifying,
